Welcome to the City Farmers 4-H Club website!

4-H Pledge:

"I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living. For my club, my community, my country, and my world."

Orange County 4-H youth, parents, and volunteers,

In an effort to keep you better informed, we are introducting a new feature - an online calendar. This calendar will feature the most current dates for 4-H related events and deadlines. You can access the calendar here

City Farmers 4-H meets at the farm on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. for the monthly Club business meeting. There will also be other project work days that each Project Leader will schedule. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons/early evenings, the farm is open for members to work on their 4-H projects, help with chores, or just enjoy their time here. Youth ages 5 - 18 can participate in 4-H and our Club By-Laws state we are a parent / child program.

Members ages 5 (by September 1st), 6 and 7 would be in our Cloverbud program. This group has a wonderful time exploring many different areas of the farm and 4-H. Last year they were introduced to reptiles, archery, poultry, goats, rabbits, etc. At the Central Florida Fair most of our Cloverbuds showed chickens and had a great time doing so! Our Project Leader is Jenn and you will soon appreciate her gifts! Jenn is in need of a Cloverbud assistant this year and I know she would appreciate you stepping forward. Don't worry if you have sibling children younger than 5.....bring them along.....they'll be Honorary Cloverbuds.

After Cloverbuds the youth progress to Junior, Intermediate and Seniors. Youth members should choose a project that our 4-H Club currently has Project Leaders for (Equine, Poultry and Rabbits.) This allows each project area to have enough youth members to create a sense of belonging. We know from experience that the larger the project group the more fun it is.

4-H Club expenses are minimal to each family. The farm donates the feed and hay, and we have many smaller animals that youth members can show at the Central Florida Fair. The club will conduct any required fundraisers to support our on-going effforts. Of course we also accept any monetary donations which we can issue a receipt for your taxes.

The following websites will provide you with additional information.

4-H enrollment is completed online this year at 4honline.com
